PhotoOff Shore RV Park

Off Shore RV Park has many different overnight and seasonal camping sites. The overnight stays includes up to 4 passes for their Aquatic Center with a large pool, swim pond w/ inflatable aqua park, sandy beach, playground, volleyball court, and more! The property also includes a full service restaurant, bar, hotel, and Events Center. Some other amenities include shower facilities, playground, and a jump pad. Spruce Creek Park

Spruce Creek Park, situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. Enjoy boating, fishing, camping and more while enjoying the scenic views of the mighty Mississippi.

This 43-acre park offers a boat harbor, modern camping sites, showers and restrooms, shelters (shelters available for reservation), and playground equipment. 80+ Campsites – all with 50 amp electric

 

Pleasant Creek Recreation Area

The Pleasant Creek Recreation Area is rustic and relaxing with front row seats of the main channel of the Mississippi River. It is located 3 miles south of Bellevue, Iowa, along Highway 52. The campground has 27 first-come, first-serve campsites, drinking water, and vault toilets. There is no electrical service or flush toilets making this a perfect spot for primitive campers. The area has a sewer dump station and concrete boat ramp with direct access to the main channel.

Recreation at Pleasant Creek happens at two locations – the campground and the island natural area where visitors are welcome to walk around. The area is monitored by a volunteer campground host who assists campers with the self-registration process and is available to answer visitor questions.

Maquoketa:

Horseshoe Pond, Dog Park, & Campground

The City of Maquoketa features Horseshoe Pond which the City has turned into an attractable water feature with a small walking path. The area also serves as a City campsite during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Next to Horseshoe Pond is Prairie Creek which travels through the City limits into Prairie Creek Recreation Area and then into the Maquoketa River.

The daily fee is $20/night or $126/week. A payment drop box is located on site.

In 2021, the City of Maquoketa and many community partners such as Maquoketa State Bank helped finance and appropriate park property for a dog park which is located in the fencing of Horseshoe Pond.

 Maquoketa Caves State Park

The park itself covers 370 acres nestled among hardwood trees and high bluffs. With approximately thirteen caves, a great experience awaits you at this interesting and unique state park. This campground offers both electric and non-electric sites as well as modern restroom and shower facility. All campsites are available by reservation only.

The unique beauty of Maquoketa Caves State Park provides a lovely setting for picnicking. A children’s play structure is located between the campground and picnic area. There are two open picnic shelters which may be used on a first come first serve basis.

Lake Riverside Campground

Lakehurst Riverside Campground is a family friendly camping and event destination located along the Maquoketa River near the Lakehurst Dam in- Maquoketa, Iowa.  The campground is nestled- in nature with a variety of trees, wildflowers, bluffs and the Maquoketa River. It’s a peaceful setting where family and friends can connect and make lasting memories.

Watching the sunset in the pavilion overlooking the dam is something you must see! Our campground offers 6 camper sites with electricity and various primitive sites where campers can set up tents. Kids can explore, play basketball, play games and much more.
